Forrest Finds . . . . .
A Blog from a Real Cat!

Hello!
My name is Forrest and I am the mascot
for PAWS Feline Rescue because I was
one
of the first kittens rescued by Kathy
and Miranda. Luckily, Miranda and I
convinced
everyone to let me live here! I love it when my
family rescues
kittens and I help them by:
keeping an eye on the kittens when they are
playing, letting them sleep next to me in
my favorite spot, and by making sure
they don’t get into any trouble! This
is my blog, and you can read about
my many adventures below!
I've Been Neutered.
I
have been gone for awhile . . . and my family neutered me during that
time! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be . . . At least I
didn't have to stay at the hospital overnight. They also gave me good drugs!
I want to encourage all of you to be spayed or neutered, because that is the only
way to stop the killing of innocent kittens and cats! (Dogs, too) Did
you know one cat can cause almost 12 MILLION kittens to be born in 9
years? Yes, ask your owner to spay or neuter you as well. You not
only will be a lot calmer in the coming months, but you won't have the
risk of getting most cancers that also kill cats. It's a win-win
situation, especially when you get pain medicine to help you feel
better while recovering!
Forrest Finds...His Favorite Toy!
Many
people inquire as to what my favorite toy is. I would have to say that it is the
laser pointer. No, I am not stupid! I know that my family uses it as a fun
way to play with me. The minute I hear it click, I start looking for
that red dot on the floor. It flies all over the room while I have fun chasing it.
The best part is when I catch it and lie on top of it! I feel really
proud then! I just don't understand how it escapes from under me . .
.
If
you can't figure out what your cat's favorite toy is, then keep trying
new things. A lot of my rescued friends like to chase toys that make
a noise as they roll. Their favorite toys are the interactive toys
that are on sticks. They love playing with people! The
toys that have a bell or make a little sound are the best because it
reminds us that our job is to chase mice and birds!
Since
exercise is so important, why don't you help your cat have fun while he
exercises? Try using a laser pointer. It just might become your
kitten's favorite past time!
Forrest Finds...Kittens Everywhere!Feeding time at my house has gotten pretty hectic! With so many kittens to feed, we barely have time to sleep! Below are pictures of me making sure everyone is sharing the food and then taking a quick nap!
I'm in this picture...can you find me?

About My Life Now . . .
You
have probably seen my picture where I am lying flat on the floor. That
is how I like to spend my day - relaxing. Sometimes, I have to get up
and work to find homes for my new friends and I have to make sure that my family keeps the website updated!
We have lots of
kittens that need homes! Remember to tell all of your family members about the importance of
spaying/neutering pets so the overpopulation problem will not be as
severe!
Forrest Finds...New Homes For Kittens!
Wow!
What a busy week! I found homes for so many friends, that we had enough
resources and space to rescue more kittens that only had a brief time
left to live! I would love to rescue all of the cats and kittens . .
.
It seems there are not many people saving cats at this high-kill
shelter, so tell all of your friends about www.pawsrescue.net Ask them
to send the URL to everyone in their contact list in case someone wants a kitten or cat. The need is great . . . Here are just a few pictures of lucky kittens that have found a loving home.

Forrest's First Blog Entry:
My three sisters and I were rescued from a high kill shelter when we were three weeks old. We didn't have a mom anymore, and we were so ill and weak that we could not
hold up our heads. We had to have a bath every day because we were very messy kittens. We also had to be bottle fed every three hours - even in the middle of the night! When I was finally old enough to drink milk out of a bowl, I would lie flat in the bowl instead of standing up! After a lot of work, I learned how to sit and eat, I learned how to play, and I finally learned how to run! Below is a picture of my sisters and me when we were four weeks old. I am the only kitten without a gray spot on it's head! All of my sisters found great homes, and I get to live here! (It took a lot of convincing, though...) Now, I want to rescue as many cats and kittens that I possibly can. Help me by spreading the word about PAWS Feline Rescue!
